I am a digital artist based in San Diego, working under the studio name Birch Originals. My practice treats identity as a sustained subject: each series follows a single figure through a distinct perceptual condition, rendered in a disciplined chromatic system and released exclusively as one-of-one archival pigment prints. A work, once resolved, exists as a definitive object — one size, one print, no editions.
Three series form the current body of work. AMPLIFIED explores identity constructed through color and perception. ATTRACTOR follows identity destabilized by attraction across five unstable states. AFTERIMAGE, the newest series, turns toward what remains after seeing — memory, optical delay, and disappearance. Its two laws: the face decays in order, and the lens decays last.
